Hey,
I’m Johnny Blades.
Photographer, Videographer, Drone Pilot & Editor – Not exclusively in that order! Let me start from the beginning…… 2015 I was in school living my best life (sort of) there was a class I attended not voluntarily, this class was a photography class and believe it or not I HATED IT! A strong choice of words but I will stick to It. If you are being taught something by someone who Is not an expert or someone who loves their field then It will never work!
Fast forward a year mid 2016 I got my first camera & YouTube along with various courses by experts and people who love the field they are in I was taught the fundamentals of Photography. This is the stage where I fell in love with what I do.
I have always been interested in social media and the creative aspect of content (video & photo) this is when i was posting silly clips onto YouTube and using Sony Vegas to edit videos, this was back in 2011 & 2012, so I have always been creating some form of content but eventually narrowed it down to what I love and do now!
My first camera…. Nikon Coolpix L810 (I still have the box) This was my first ever camera, I used this for photo & video, my next upgrade with a Nikon D3200 in 2016 later in 2018 I upgraded to a Nikon D750 & Canon 5Dmkiii, now in 2021 I purchased a Sony A7III & also I now have a Sony A7IV, Sony in my eyes is one of the best camera systems IMO – its the first mirrorless cameras I used and the system is just fantastic.
As of today Saturday 10th June 2023 I am writing this I class myself as a professional Photographer & Videographer. Who travels nationally & Internationally for work.
